Sermons are a big part of the church experience, and we’re excited to announce a new way for congregants to engage with your sermon content in Church Center: the ability to create sermon note outlines with fill-in-the-blank fields for congregants to use on Church Center is now in beta!
Let’s take a quick tour of how this works!
Sermon notes are available on any Publishing sermons plan, alongside other formats like live streaming, on-demand video, audio, and podcasts. (If you’re an existing sermons user, you can enable notes via your channel settings.)
When sermon notes are enabled, on the channel, Publishing admins will see a new “Sermon notes” tab where they can enable notes on a per-episode basis.
Using the editor, admins can design and structure sermon notes to fit their needs. They can even include "fill-in-the-blank" sections which congregants can complete during the sermon.
Once you've published your notes, a "Take notes" button goes live on your channel page at the specified live times. You can also share a dedicated notes URL to make it easy for congregants to access.
On Church Center, logged-in congregants write their own notes while following along with the sermon:
They can fill in blanks or reveal answers by tapping on the eye icon.
Notes are private to the congregant’s profile and can be emailed to themselves or shared to other apps available on their device.
Ready to try it out? Sermon notes is now available on beta for all Publishing sermons plans.
We’d love to hear your feedback; you can email us at support@planningcenter.com!
