At Planning Center, we aim to give the gift of time through technology, allowing churches to focus on ministry. That's where Publishing comes in, streamlining content management and sharing. Today we're excited to introduce Planning Center Blocks! These blocks bring together information from other Planning Center products you're using, seamlessly integrating it into any of your custom pages. They're designed to look fantastic right out of the box and stay up-to-date with the latest information, all with minimal effort on your end.
We have three new blocks: Giving block, Calendar block, and Registrations block. Let's take a look:
Giving block
The Giving block is a supercharged button block that pulls your church's giving information to make it easier to link to specific Giving funds and set up suggested amounts. While this has been possible with a custom URL, this new block removes the guesswork!
Calendar block
The Calendar block allows you to pick between grid and list layouts and pulls from Church Center-designated events in Calendar. You can customize it further by adding a headline, selecting a specific campus, choosing an event category, and deciding whether you want to pull from a date range or show a set amount of events.
When you add new events in Calendar that satisfy these criteria, they'll automatically appear in the Calendar block. When the event has passed, it'll also automatically drop off the block.
Registrations block
The Registrations block brings similar functionality but for signups from Registrations. Filter your signups by campus, category, and limit either by a date range or number of signups. This block will also automatically update with the most up-to-date signups you have available.
Both the Calendar and Registration blocks are perfect for highlighting a subset of upcoming events and signups on a bulletin page or ministry page with no effort on your part.
