Create a Home Page

The home page is the first page that loads when Church Center is opened, so you want it to make a good impression! Add announcements or styled graphics with links, so people know what's most important to you.

Check out this sample home page, or see some examples below of other churches who have customized their home page.

If you'd like some inspiration for your home page, the Planning Center Community on Slack is a great way for churches to share advice and connect with each other using chat. In the #product-publishing channel, many churches have been sharing their custom page designs and some have even created templates to share!

Edit the Home Page

In the All Pages tab, click the Home page to edit it.

From the page editor, you can customize your home page to fit the personality of your church.

While you're editing, you can preview the changes without making it visible to your whole congregation using Draft Mode.

Image Sizing

PNG, JPG, and GIF formats are supported for images in Publishing. See additional details below for header or other images.

Header Images

The recommended size for header images is 2000x1125.

In both the web and mobile views, header images are displayed with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The images will be resized automatically for each device.

Other Images

The recommended image width for other images is 700px.

  • Images on the web will be displayed at the exact width of what you uploaded, unless they're wider than the main body. Wider images will be scaled down to fit the page.
  • On mobile devices, images will be displayed at full width.
